# Click Rate (CR)

Click Rate is a term from Internet advertising and online marketing and it expresses the ratio of the number of clicks on an advertising [banner](https://www.bartvisions.cz/en/slovnikovy-pojem/banner/) to the number of times that banner is displayed. Unlike the second[ Click Through Rate](https://www.bartvisions.cz/en/slovnikovy-pojem/clickthroughrate-ctr-2/) option, the user does not have to go directly to the landing page. In fact, it is one of the indicators of the effectiveness of advertising.
