# ClickThroughRate (CTR)

This term is used in internet advertising and represents the [click-through](https://www.bartvisions.cz/en/slovnikovy-pojem/click-through/) rate. It measures the success of advertising campaigns. It means the ratio of the number of times an advertising [banner](https://www.bartvisions.cz/en/slovnikovy-pojem/banner/) was displayed to the number of times it was clicked. It also takes into account the actual traffic to the target website by those users who clicked on the banner. In this case, the time users spend on the site is not measured.
